Autism Works

The goal for this project was to identify an issue in the world, then creatively design solutions to help solve the problem. I chose to address the fact that more than half of adults with autism in the United States who receive developmental disability services lack a paying job.

Concept

The objective of my project was to advocate for the acceptance of autistic adults in the workplace by connecting employers with job seekers, information, and support to enable success. The project consists of a variety of design solutions including a fair booth, website, and a partnership kit containing items and information to help autistic adults in the workplace. All of the solutions connect, support and provide information to autistic adults and employers to enable both parties to work together in order to solve this problem.
