The soul of Keds is centered around an emotional core of individualism, uniqueness, and originality. The core of the new mission will be the same, to inspire individuals to “be an original” an show their uniqueness to the world. However they will now offer custom bicycles, parts and accessories as original and unique as their customers.
The goal for this project was to identify an issue in the world, then creatively design solutions to help solve the problem. I chose to address the fact that more than half of adults with autism in the United States who receive developmental disability services lack a paying job.
The goal for this project was to find a successful local business that was lacking one very important piece of the proverbial puzzle, a website. The website could be nonexistent or just in dire need of a redesign. Our job was to swoop in and save the day by designing a new desktop site as well as a mobile version.
The aim of this project was to find a sign or flyer that was in desperate need of a overhaul and redesign it from the ground up. We needed to expand beyond that original media and create a visual system along with new media to better communicate the overall message. I found a pedestrian flyer for a local 70s/80s themed tricky tray fundraiser and used that as the basis for my redesign.
For this project we were to conduct type experiments using a variety of objects, media, and speculative techniques to create typography visually described a color. The work was to be done mostly without the use of a computer, and needed to involve much exploration. It was a very hands on project to say the least.
